Loading and unloading help for your Bozeman move.
If you have already arranged a rental truck, trailer or storage container, start with the help you need around it. Tell us whether you want loading, unloading or both, where the vehicle will be and when it is expected. We can discuss the requested labor and availability around those details.

Describe your vehicle and what it needs to hold.
Include the truck, trailer or container size and the approximate inventory. Note whether it has a ramp, liftgate or a raised loading deck. A vehicle reservation does not by itself establish how the furniture will fit or what handling equipment is needed. Share large-item dimensions and explain whether belongings are going directly to another home or into storage.
- Give the vehicle or container type, size and loading-access details.
- List large furniture, packed boxes and items needing extra discussion.
- Flag oversized pieces and anything difficult to lift or maneuver.
Confirm placement and the route to the door.
Where the truck parks affects the loading job. Check whether a container can be placed near the entrance and whether there is enough room to use a ramp. Ask the property or container provider about placement restrictions. Describe stairs, elevators, uneven surfaces and the distance belongings must travel so the labor request reflects the actual access.
- Confirm permission for parking or container placement before the appointment.
- Explain the walking distance, stairs and any building access rules.
- Keep the loading path clear and provide a reachable on-site contact.
Coordinate the arrival window before confirming help.
A delivery window and a confirmed vehicle arrival are different things. Explain when the rental or container is expected and how much flexibility you have. If loading and unloading happen on different days, list each location and date separately. Discuss how delays or changes would be handled before booking, especially when the vehicle is being delivered by someone else.
- Share pickup, delivery and return deadlines for your rental or container.
- Identify whether help is requested at one address or both.
- Confirm that keys, access and the vehicle will be ready as arranged.
Agree on the labor scope and transport responsibilities.
For a labor-only request, you arrange the vehicle or container and its transportation. Discuss blankets, straps, dollies and other equipment rather than assuming they are included. Ask how furniture preparation, loading order and securing the load will be handled, and confirm who is responsible for each task. Keep the labor agreement separate from your rental or transportation agreement so both describe the work you expect.
Loading & unloading questions.
Details to work through before moving day.
Does loading and unloading include a moving truck?
A labor-only inquiry assumes you are arranging the truck, trailer or container. If you also need transportation, explain that in the inquiry or explore the local moving page. The vehicle, labor, equipment and transportation arrangements should all be clear before anything is booked.
Can I request help at both ends of the move?
Yes. Include both addresses and the desired dates, even if the locations are in different communities. Availability and the requested scope need to be discussed for each end. For an out-of-area destination, explain the complete route rather than assuming a local loading inquiry covers unloading elsewhere.
What should be ready before loading begins?
Confirm the preparation agreed for your job. Typically, useful steps include identifying what is moving, labeling boxes and destinations, separating personal essentials and clearing the access path. Mention unboxed belongings or furniture needing preparation beforehand so those tasks can be discussed and included where appropriate.
